Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) is a global institutional securities house covering sales, research, ECM, execution and derivatives and delta one activities. MSG uses its research and risk management skills to develop equity-based solutions and services for clients internationally.
Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) provides a variety of services across the globe with an underlying specialisation in interest rate, commodity or foreign exchange related institutional trading, marketing, lending, clearing or platform provision.
The predominant FICC client base is financial institutions and significant commodity producers and consumers. With structuring, sales and trading professionals in the Australia, New Zealand, the Americas, Canada, Asia and the Middle East, FICC offers quality service and risk management solutions to meet our clients' needs.
FICC offers trading, sales, research and finance covering:
- Fixed income - interest rate, debt and credit securities
- Currency - foreign exchange spot, forward and tailored services
- Commodities - metals, energy, environmental products, agriculture, freight, bulk commodities, and complementary futures services
FICC operates in most major trading markets and emerging markets around the world.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Analyze and build operating models for companies within the Energy sector;
- Provide structuring fundamental analysis of transactions;
- Participate in the legal negotiating structuring process;
- Provision and creation of marketing materials for use in client presentations and pitches;
- Support senior staff in prospecting for new client opportunities in the region
Skills Experiences Required:
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in an investment banking, consulting, or trading role;
- Degree in finance, economics, engineering, or sciences;
- Exposure to wholesale energy markets, project finance, or structured finance;
- Possess strong modeling and financial statement analysis skills including a good understanding of commonly used valuation techniques;
- Experience with various aspects of large deal execution (risk, legal, etc.);
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities the ability to work with people at all levels;
- An interest aptitude for client engagement and marketing.
- Experience with credit syndication existing client relationships a plus.
