Responsibilities:
• Fill native load requirements for participating members.
• Manage market risk in open trading book positions.
• Required to work a rotating shift to provide the 24 hour service to members.
• Participate in marketing functions in conjunction with the risk and structuring desk.
• Assist and direct the development of new contracts.
Required qualifications:
• At least a college degree within an applicable discipline
• Experience in wholesale energy trading and power system operations of at least 2 years is required.
• Experience in price negotiating and how deals are originated.
• Working risk management knowledge.
• Ability to build a network.
• Excellent knowledge of operating procedures within the electricity industry
• Knowledge about requirements regarding interconnected regions (NERC).
• Good quantitative skills combined with commercial marketing affinity.
