Energy Trading & Risk Management (ETRM) Business Analyst – Allegro recruitment

Job Description

The successful candidate will have an excellent working knowledge of Allegro software with broad knowledge and understanding of its features, functions and capabilities. Your role will be to act as a liaison between the business users of the system and technical support resources within the company. You will be a solutions provider for business functions, implementation, system design, and workflow improvements.

Responsibilities will include:

•  Provide techno-functional leadership for the services provided for projects using energy trading risk management products

•  Perform testing of new Allegro functionality and enhancements

•  Provide solutions for system design, implementation, and function or workflow improvements.

•  Provide expertise in Allegro/ETRM product space and drive knowledge management

•  Support client relationship building and engage in business development and proposal work.

Desired Skills Experience:

•  Strong experience in Microsoft .Net C#

•  Bright, articulate individuals with strong experience gained working energy / commodity trading environments, gaining good understanding of the processes and procedures within energy / commodity trading

•  Experience in Big 4 consulting and/or experience in the energy markets will be an added advantage

•  ETRM business requirements definition, systems evaluation and selection

•  ETRM business process documentation, design and systems integration

•  Physical logistics (scheduling, operations, settlements)

•  You will possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with client personnel, project teams and senior management

•  Consulting and/or energy industry experience preferred

•  Solid understanding of the energy/commodity industry end-to-end, crude oil, coal, metal, refined products and softs

•  B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field

•  Experience with data analysis, modelling, application integration, software testing, systems analysis and design, systems development, troubleshooting and problem solving
