We are currently recruiting a number of vacancies for Head of Engagement Engagement Managers to join the IT Retail Banking Management team at this exciting time of change. This role presents an excellent opportunity to influence, build and develop effective relationships with senior internal stakeholders across the Retail Bank and with our internal technology suppliers in the UK and Spain, to help define and deliver the core strategy of the bank and ensure the bank's compliance with a demanding regulatory programme.

You will be responsible for helping to shape projects and programmes within the systems plan; ensuring they are focussed on the bank's priorities, are realistic and clearly defined and successfully delivered and implemented. Effective stakeholder management and alignment across many functional areas within the bank is an essential part of this challenging role.

As an Engagement Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Ability to gather and assess complex business requirements and translate them into creative solutions which meet both the global strategies and local needs
Ability to absorb and understand technical issues and translate them into business terms
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Understanding of risk assessment practises and a good level of financial literacy and appreciation of commercial drivers
Educated to Degree level or relevant experience.
Experience in Change Management activities within technology or business functions
Business process understanding within a retail bank context is an advantage

As an Engagement Manager your main responsibilities will involve:

The development and execution of the IT systems plan and change agenda
Building effective relationships between technology and core areas of the retail bank such as Marketing, Distribution and Regulatory Compliance; and with internal and external suppliers, acting as a pivotal point and providing a consultancy style approach.
Supporting the drive for a culture where the customer is at the heart of all policy, processes, people and planning.
Finding inventive solutions to business problems, empowering the bank with the flexibility of our global sales and servicing platforms.
Working with our architecture team to develop approaches that maintain the integrity of our systems.
Developing, articulating and ensuring adherence to our governance processes.
Delivering and controlling the creation of the technical service plan which includes SLA's, continuity plans, Service Desk support etc. according to the requirements of the user and operations
Ensuring achievements and deliverables are tracked against budget forecast.
Identify and manage operational risk, developing and maintaining effective governance and risk control processes, including third parties.
