Engagement Manager Job descriptions:

Engagement Managers are responsible for the entire relationship with a client, and for overall project management and delivery of large complex projects.  Engagement Managers manage, mentor and develop staff and staff managers working for them.  The Engagement Manager is deeply involved with other aspects of the business, such as business development and recruiting, including:

Business Development – 25%

Client/Engagement Management – 50%

Senior Management Team – 25 %

The engagement manager will also have the following experience levels:

• 10-15 years direct experience consulting to investment banks and financial services firms in the metro NY area with a proven track record in a small number of firms

• Experience partnering with business development team in maintaining and growing relationships within key accounts

• Responsibility for a managing a revenue based book of business within a key account and increasing the consulting headcount on projects within the client environment

• Deep understanding of the various asset classes and their trade flows including equities, fixed income, and derivatives

• Understanding of institutional and retail business within investment banks including brokerage, wealth management, and asset management

• Strong presence and superior consulting and communication skills
