- Must be able to manage multiple priorities with a sustained commitment to succeed. - Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. - Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment. - Strong background with Excel/Access or other database tools (SQL, MYSQL, Oracle, etc) to efficiently analyze large volumes of data is a must. - Solid experience with programming / scripting languages such as HTML, XML, Apache, Perl, Python, PHP, Java, Flash, C/C++, CSS, and RUBY. - Solid experience with Microsoft, Linux, and Unix operating systems. - Experience with SNMP. - Experience with Android SDK and iOS is a plus. - Understanding of wireless technologies such as EVDO and LTE is a plus. - Experience with IP performance troubleshooting tools is a plus: eHealth, Tektronix Irisview, and Wireshark. - 5+ years experience in the wireless industry preferred - Ability to be self-motivated and demonstrate teamwork initiative is required. Other Requirements: A valid driver's license is required. BSEE, BS Computer Science, or related technical degree required. The Engineer - Network position reports to the Manager - IP Performance within Midwest Area Planning. This candidate will collaborate with the Midwest Area regional teams to gather requirements and develop data-driven applications web-based solutions to automate IP network performance monitoring and reporting. The candidate will work independently to build and integrate interactive websites, applications, and services. The candidate must have an in-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and be able to communicate project status, issues, and resolutions while interfacing with various teams. The following are key responsibilities: - Participate in the design, implementation, automation, and deployment of systems via the use of programming and scripting methods. - Partner with technical network personnel to ensure deliverables are deployed, documented, and validated. - Provide guidance and serve as SME for new applications services. *Position may sit in any of the MWA Region locations*
