Engineer I - V (Ops Research Analysis)
Job Summary:
The Operations Research and Analysis Engineer will apply optimization, simulation, mathematical, statistical and data analytic techniques to research, develop and apply strategic decision support and simulation models/solutions in the area of long-term network design, capacity planning, and process improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Research, design and develop tactical applications to support field operations.
- Design, develop and maintain strategic network planning models to aid in long-term capacity planning process and monitor short-term capacity shortfalls.
- Conduct ad-hoc modeling requests - quantify operational impact of new business rules, operational policies, new initiatives/ products to support decision-making process.
Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g. mathematics) or applicable technical experience.
Minimum Experience:

Required Skills, Abilities and/or Licensure:
- Simulationsoftware (Arena, AutoMod, Simio, or simulate)
- General Programming Language (visual basic, C+, Java)
- Optimization model language
- Proficient at manipulating large amounts of data
Preferred Qualifications:
This position will use optimization, simulation, mathematical, statistical and data analytic techniques to research, develop, apply and maintain strategic decision support and simulation models/solutions in the areas of short-term and long-term network design, capacity planning, and process improvements.
*MS or PhD in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research
*Minimum 2 years related experience
*Working knowledge of simulation software (Arena, AutoMod, SIMIO,..), Optimization (OPL, AMPL,..) and general programming languages (Java, VB, C,..)
