Job Summary:
This position will provide Corporate industrial/process/analysis engineering support. The selected candidate will be located at Corporate and provide analysis and reporting tools that will allow FedEx field operations to effectively control / and or justify operational costs. They will also document and improve processes and procedures, and rollout and evaluate new projects and technologies. Travel will be required for some positions.

Essential Functions:
Corporate Industrial/Process Engineers will analyze data pertaining to field performance, develop reporting/planning tools for field use, and participate in Quality Driven Management teams to improve overall performance.

Minimum Education:
Bachelors degree in engineering or related technical or quantitative degree (e.g. mathematics) or applicable technical experience.

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    This position will be responsible for supporting overall FXG Pickup Delivery (PD) engineering. The position will be responsible for gathering data, developing analytical analyses, communicating results and recommendations, and participating on cross-functional teams for the purposes of: •Supporting and improving field operations (report generation, adhoc analyses, etc) •Establishing and monitoring integrity of independent contractor (IC) settlement systems •Supporting Contractor Relations and Legal initiatives •Implementing technological and process improvements in field and internal department operations •Generate, monitor, manage PD productivity goals and associated budgeting. Some travel may be required.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    •BS in Industrial Engineering or other technical or quantitative degree with related experience.
    •Strong analytical, organizational, time management, multi-tasking, and process definition skills
    •Strong communication skills; ability to discuss technical, process oriented, and financial information in detail and summary forms with varying levels of management
    •Capability to work in ambiguity in both team and individual environments
    •High proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Powerpoint; Prior SAS coding experience is not required but preferred - as it is required for the position
