Position Description:
Job Responsibilities:
• Zero Personal First Aid/Injuries
• Participate in the LIVES program
• Comply with all ALA Policies including Responsible Care
• Zero Lost time injuries for ALA and contract personnel
• 100% Safety record for contract personnel on assigned jobs.
• Participate in the creation, updates and reviews of PHAs, PSSRs, PIDs, MOCs and SOPs.
• Identify, justify, plan and execute projects to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
• Accountable for PM program and continuous improvement.
• Accountable for PdM program corrective action and feedback on findings.
• Maintain plant equipment records in CMMS as well as physical files.
• Track rotating spares by making equipment updates in CMMS.
• Assist Plant Managers in the investigation of operational incidents, the development of corrective and preventive actions.
• Work with Supply Management to specify equipment and services, select vendors, issue Purchase Requisitions and expedite delivery
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, with no injuries, with complete documentation.
• Issue technical reports at the conclusion of major equipment repairs and upgrades.
• Support maintenance activities with engineering expertise.
• Acts as interface with Zone Engineering, Corporate Engineering and RC.
• Maintains all Management of Change documents and works with respective parties to close MOCs in a timely manner
• Monitors plant KPIs and makes suggestions for improvement
• Participates in the Zone Efficiency Team
General Requirements:
• BS in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical)
• 0 - 5 years of operational or engineering experience.
• Solution-oriented, with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work with all levels of personnel
• Ability to perform under stress and time constraints
• Comfortable in both Corporate and Field environments
• Has full range of motion and ability to lift 50 lbs
• Able to climb ladders and work off elevated platforms/surfaces
• Able to enter confined spaces for inspection and testing
• Can travel for limited periods of time (1 to 5 days), with little advance warning
