Position Description:
The candidate should have a Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years Optical Disc Drive (ODD) system development and production experience. Hands-on experience on ODD servo control system and read/write channels are required. Once on board, the candidate will work as a liaison between OPG System Firmware team and oversea customers in providing remote and on-site technical supports. Travels are required and bi- or multilingual capability is a plus.

Qualifications:
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of hands-on experience in Optical Disc Drive (ODD) and Blu-ray Disc Player (BDP) embedded system and servo firmware development
• In-depth knowledge of optical disc formats and Optical Pickup Units (OPU)
• Proficient in Servo channel development and tuning – focus, tracking, tilt, sled, and seek systems
• Proficient in Read and write channel development and write strategy tuning
• Proficient in system simulation and development tools: Matlab, Emulators, Dynamic Signal analyzer, logic analyzer, C/C++
• Proficient with software development process and revision control tools, such as Perforce, and bug tracking systems, such as Jira or Bugzilla
• ODD and BDP mass production and customer support experience
• Bi- or multilingual capability, such as, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, is a plus
