B/E Aerospace, Inc. located in Everett, WA has the following position to fill: ENGINEER, TEST Summary/Job Description: Responsible for the integrity of a specific product line through analysis and testing, including environmental, vibration, acceleration, static load, cycle, and other physical performance testing. Essential Duties Responsibilities: Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Also responsible for identifying and coordinating testing activities with external testing houses. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, completes specifications and procedures for new products. Performs other related duties as required. Supervisor Responsibilities: n/a Supervision Received:Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Discretion/Impact: n/a Job Complexity: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Education /or Experience: Bachelor?s degree in Engineering from four-year college or university; and minimum five years related experience and/or training. Language Skills: Experience with RSLogix, Matlab, or other machine control and data acquisition software preferred. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
