Position Overview
System Design
*Designs software systems to support TechOps/Engineering performance and capacity monitoring systems such as Neal Real Time and Top20 web tool.
*Provides tools/reporting and operational leadership for TechOps/Engineering (Lucent, Nortel, Huawei) as the company launches new markets and high-speed data applications enabled by EVDO technology.
*Defines functional requirements or objects from TechOps/Engineering requirements.
*Designs and creates software and component models - Intermediate level.
*Designs and creates database schema and develops data warehouse design - Intermediate level.
*Designs and interfaces documents for application development - Intermediate level.
*Designs and creates data parsing applications in complex and dynamic data source environment - Intermediate level.
*Designs and defines data models - basic level.
*Creates prototypes - Provides architecture ideas to improve the present tools/reporting and enhance network quality monitoring and/or cost saving.
*Develops alternate designs and analyzes trade-offs that trigger iteration of the design process.
Programming and Implementation
*Develops, refactors, tests, and deploys software following the vendor's infrastructure upgrades, new product launches, and Software Development Life Cycle such as ECP, BSC, or MTX upgrade.
*Develops robust and fault tolerant software - Intermediate level.
*Manages configuration/source code for all software code developed.
*Reviews Operation Management (OM) documentation for system upgrades to insure non-interruption support of software application.
*Revises software applications and databases to accommodate system changes or upgrades.
*Inspects code and code documentation, revising as necessary to meet standards - Intermediate level.
*Reviews launched tools/reporting and proposes evolution solutions that continually improve quality and cost metrics.
System Analysis and Architecture Planning
*Plans software system functionality, in coordination with New Product Development team.
*Coordinates with business users, managers, and other system designers/developers - Intermediate level.
*Understands and translates conceptual business ideas into technology architecture and specifications.
*Architects logical and modular designs - Intermediate level.
*Defines system interfaces in conjunction with other technology groups - Intermediate level.
*Plans and provides technical direction for projects - basic level.
Project Management
*Develops comprehensive project plans in coordination with TechOps/Engineering.
*Develops the requirements definition, work breakdown structure, and other project documents associated with the management of requirements, tasks, schedule, milestones, dependencies, and resources - basic level.
Manages projects, including coordination and execution of project plans ensuring successful completion of the project - basic level.
Required Qualifications:
Must have experience with the following:
OS: Linux, Solaris
DB: Oracle
Coding Scripting: Java, Javascript
Background in Telecom, Wireless Networks
BS degree in: Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
5+ years Telecom-wireless
3+ years Enterprise scale software development
3 years hands on experience in database, software and information systems engineering.
3 years experience in architecting, engineering, and designing large scale applications/websites
Process modeling, systems development methodologies, and status reporting.
Technical writing/documentation including data structures, software codes, user manuals, etc.
Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Design and Development

Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005
SQL, PL/SQL
ASP.NET, C#.Net, VB.net, JavaScript Ajax, FrontPage 2000, HTML, CSS
Preferred Qualifications
MS degree in EE or CS
