THE ENGINEERING COORDINATOR is the right hand of the Engineering Manager helping to ensure that the planned maintenance programme operates effectively in the best interests of the business. Some of the key activities of the Engineering Coordinator are:-
• You'll have day to day control of the inputs and outputs of the computer based ppm system and will need to use first class communication skills both written and verbal to ensure that instructions for action and follow ups are clear, understood fully by all stakeholders.
• You will help in deciding how priorities are ranked through close communication with relevant parties.
• Additionally you will take responsibility for building optimal stores levels to enable engineering to provide the rapid response required to enable production commitments to be met.
THE CANDIDATE
It's an absolute must that you have an engineering background for this role and just as importantly you will have first class written and verbal skills as you will be issuing instructions for engineers workload using the company computerised ppm system, based on information which sometimes needs interpretation and clarification. Ideally you will have worked as an Engineering Coordinator or held a similar role.
You also need a comprehensive knowledge of spares both electrical and mechanical to help streamline the spares stockholding.
This would be an ideal role for a factory engineer who wants to move away from day to day engineering and onto a days based role
