Job Description:
ICF is looking for an Engineering Data Manager. This position manages, directs and performs technical managerial document maintenance and control functions. Ensures all requested documentation is stored and is available upon request. Work closely with other contractors, government client and project managers to fulfill requests for engineering data. The position is located on a client site in Huntsville, AL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages coordination of DBMS projects including providing independent database management systems analysis on significant projects manipulating DBMS internals
- Coordinates DBMS support efforts with functional area experts
- Assists in the design and building of databases using DBMS software including ORACLE, ACCESS, Informix, or Empress
- Manages and maintains manual and electronic files to provide reference services for drawings, specifications, standards, and related documents
- Locates, receives and/or scans all necessary technical data sheets and documentation to process Notice of Revisions and Engineering Change Packages (ECPs)
- Receive sand processes requests for engineering documents including manual and automated files, distribute hard copies, aperture cards, CDs, and other media
- Maintains and updates data repositories comprised of Stable Base Mylar documents, engineering and technical digital and aperture card documents, engineering change proposals and Notice of Revisions (NORs)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Technical or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution
- 10+ years experience programming or systems analyst experience
- 3+ years of experience working with DBMS including in independent database management systems
- 3+ years experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook
- 1+ year of experience presenting and briefing top level managers
- Ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- US Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command
- SEI trained and certified Lead Appraiser" to preferred skills
- Information Assurance Certification
