Engineering Data Manager Job in Huntsville, Alabama US

TRI-COR Industries, Inc., a Service Disabled, Veteran Owned, Small Business, is seeking an Engineering Data Manager.  This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

 

DUTIES INCLUDE:

Manages, directs and performs technical managerial document maintenance and control functions.  Ensures all requested documentation is stored and is available upon request.  Work closely with other contractors, government client and project managers to fulfill requests for engineering data.

 

·         Manages coordination of DBMS projects including providing independent database management systems analysis on significant projects manipulating DBMS internals.

·         Coordination of DBMS support efforts with functional area experts.

·         Assisting in the design and building databases using DBMS software, including ORACLE, ACCESS, Informix, or Empress.

·         Managing and maintaining manual and electronic files to provide reference services for drawings, specifications, standards, and related documents.

·         Locate, receive and/or scan all necessary technical data sheets and documentation to process Notice of Revisions and Engineering Change Packages (ECPs).

·         Receive and process requests for engineering documents including manual and automated files, distribute hard copies, aperture cards, CDs, and other media.

·         Maintain and update data repositories comprised of Stable Base Mylar documents, engineering and technical digital and aperture card documents, engineering change proposals and Notice of Revisions (NORs).

QUALIFICATIONS COMPETENCIES:

·         Three (3) years of experience working with DBMS including in independent database management systems.

·         US Army Aviation and Missile Life Cycle Management Command experience a plus.

·         Presentation and briefing skills to top level managers required.

·         A minimum ten (10) years programming or systems analyst experience.

·         Excellent communication skills; ability to clearly communicate ideas to others verbally and in writing; organizational skills, personnel leadership and management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.

·         Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and be customer-oriented.

·         Well versed in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook.

·         Education: Technical or Engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

·         Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
