Engineering-Electrical Design Systems Management
The Procter and Gamble (PG) Corporate Engineering organization is looking for a talented engineer with an electrical engineering background. PG is a Fortune 25 Company with annual sales of $80 Billion and is growing rapidly around the world. In this role, you will be leading the way how PG and contract Engineers are doing electrical design. The support you provide will help PG doing electrical design better, faster and cheaper. You will also be part of the PG Global Engineering community which shares the technical knowledge and methods developed during the company's 173 year history.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Enable further expansion, higher productivity and further cost savings through new and imporved approaches and toolsin the area of electrical design, in support of PG's strategy to further leverage digitzation and platform management.
- Ensure that PG's design approaches conform with national and international electrical codes.
- Understand who the different authors and consumers of electrical design information are, what their needs are and how they can be better served.
- Develop an eCAD vision and the related journey map.
- Continously imporve electrical design standards, workflows and software tools in a team with internal and external partners.
PG internal and external technical training will be provided with personal one to one coaching in order to accelerate your professional and technical skill development and indoctrination to PG. This will enable you to learn PG's Purpose, Values and Principles, and successfully deliver good results for you and PG. This opportunity is best suited for engineers with several years of experience in electrical design and design management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering
- Strong leadership skills and passion to share your knowledge
- Experience with at least one "smart" electrical design software is preferred
- Experience with electrical codes and standards
- Demonstrated focus on meeting customer requirements
- Passion to improve technology as well as organizational approaches, from idea generation to practical implementation
- Willing to travel (about 10%)
