Responsibilities
As an Engineering Leader you will work with other members of the technical staff, to provide support for day-to-day activities, such as resolving technical issues with equipment, as well as partner with other organizations to insure our team's ability for safe and efficient operations. The Engineering Leader will lead and manage a variety of projects, working to integrate the technology into the workplace, writing project justifications and specifications, as well as participating in successful contract awards.
As a member of the production team your individual areas of expertise will be integrated with others to satisfy one or more of the following decision analysis processes:
- Technical Oversight
- Problem Resolution
- Process Improvement
- Research and Development
- New equipment integration
In addition to the support services, there are other technical opportunities to research, develop and deploy a recapitalization program for the print plant's future equipment needs.

Qualifications
The National Security Agency (NSA) has exciting career opportunities available for technical professionals with experience in Computer Science/Information Technology fields. If you are interested in applying your technical knowledge and experience to assist in producing Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) as well as other COMSEC Key and mission support material for the Agency, utilizing a wide variety of production equipment.
Entry is with a high school diploma, plus 9 years experience OR PE, or EIT plus 4 years, or an Associate's degree plus 9 years experience, OR PE, or EIT plus 4 years, or a Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience, or a post-baccalaureate certificate and 4 years of experience, or a Master's degree and 2 years of experience, or a Doctoral degree.
Education must include:
ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or accredited degree in the Physical Sciences is required if no experience is accompanying.
Engineering or Physical Science degree that is not accredited must contain appropriate qualifying courses. (Courses in six of the following 15 areas (a) statics, dynamics, (b) strength of materials, (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics, (d) thermodynamics, (e) electrical fields and circuits, (f) nature and properties of materials, (g) solid state electronics, (h) microprocessor applications, (i) digital logic, (j) discrete time systems, (k) digital design, (l) systems and control theory, (m) generalized circuits, (n) communications systems, (o) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics.)
If degree is not in Engineering or the Physical Sciences, one year of engineering experience and appropriate qualifying courses will be required, OR one year of NSA Professional AAC experience applying engineering principles.OR; B.
If no degree has been completed, one of the following would qualify:
Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
Passing of the state government Engineer in Training (EIT) exam.
Experience which is clearly professional Engineering or Physical Sciences practice OR relevant NSA Professional AAC experience are also qualifying.
OTHER EXAMPLES OF EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:
Engineering Management experience.
Project management experience (e.g., cost, schedule, resources).

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Salary range: $74,872 - $136,771
