***** CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD ***** Position: Logistics Engineering Manager Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada **relocation is not authorized** This senior level position is expected to lead and manage all logistics aspects of the North Warning System (NWS) program to include: - Direct a team of field technicians and material handlers - Manage maintenance and logistics facilities - Establish, monitor, and report on budgets for material and labor - Coordinate incoming and dispatched vendor and government furnished equipment shipments - Manage receipt of assets shipped/returned for repair and determine appropriate disposition of inoperable or damaged assets The Logistics Manager reports directly to the Program Manager, and will maintain close coordination with the Chief Systems Engineer and the Maintenance Control Communications Center Manager to plan for and execute maintenance operations. The Logistics Manager will c ollaborate with the NWS leadership team in developing and monitoring comprehensive performance measurements. The Logistics Manager serves as the primary interface to the customer for all logistics matters, and is the direct interface with customer and OEM repair activities. The Logistics Manager is expected to develop and implement procedures for repair or replacement of technical assets, preventive maintenance, and t raining for Field Technicians and Material Handlers. Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: - Minimum of 8 years demonstrated experience managing maintenance and logistics operations - Minimum of 8 years demonstrated knowledge and experience with the North Warning System or similar systems - Expert knowledge of radar hardware and ancillary equipment used in the North Warning System - Proven record in growing business and the preparation of proposals - Demonstrated ability to work with peer and external support staff - Proven experience leading mid-size teams with variety of technical skills - Experience preparing program management reviews - Experience developing and managing program budgets - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong customer relations skills and cultural awareness and sensitivity - Ability to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance
