Engineering Manager – Image Processing Algorithms Job in San Jose 95113, California US
We are seeking a talented, driven individual to expand our R D efforts develop implement new computer vision image processing algorithms in hardware software for current future products. As our newest Manager in imaging algorithm research development, specialized in Computer Vision Image Processing, you will spend about 1/3 of your time managing supervising an algorithm development group, about 2/3 of your time conducting algorithm research development.
With a goal to be a leading provider of chipsets firmware for the consumer multimedia product markets, we are currently expanding our R D organization to develop new exciting computer vision, computational photography, computational imaging, image processing algorithms in areas such as shape texture description, stereo motion correspondence, structure from motion, low-light imaging, object detection recognition, color image segmentation, scene content understanding, tone color reproduction, image sharpening, noise reduction, imaging chain analysis, other areas.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a world-class algorithm development team on state-of-the-art algorithms, to personally take your creations to the proof-of-concept phase, to assist in the product development of those algorithms in both silicon software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new hardware software computer vision image processing algorithms for multimedia products, chipsets system solutions.
- Manage supervise an algorithm development team to support imaging applications.
Qualifications:
- PhD/MS Degree in EE, CS, Physics, Math, or 10 years of professional experience in Digital image processing, Computer vision, Computational photography, Computational Imaging, Imaging science technology, /or Information processing in visual cortex
Desired:
- Research Development in computer vision, image processing, or computational photography Experience working closely with the ASIC design team implementing computer vision image processing algorithms in hardware
- Experience in team management is desirable, but not required if leadership quality can be demonstrated
