Engineering Manager
My client is a leading provider of specialist track products, using state of the art design and precision Engineering they manufacture turnouts, crossings and associated components.
They now have a unique opportunity for an Engineering Manager to over see their Track services design and engineering team based in NSW.
Your key objectives will be to oversee the design, engineering, planning functions and contract management for the production of equipment to customers schedules and specifications keeping to budget and time frames whilst conforming to all engineering and safety regs.
You main responsibilities will include:
- Development of new products and improve current products
- Responsible for product integrity and fit for purpose
- Overseeing the design and drafting,estimating, technical support, planning and job packaging functions plus quality standards of suppliers
- Maintain safety in manufacturing and complying with the OHS regulations and legislation as well as the Rail Safety Act of 2002
- Responsible for quality control via the Quality management system
- Complying to all State and National legislation and environmental standards associcateed with the industry
- Liaise and support the General Manager and the Management Team with regards to current activities, statistics and forecasts
The ideal candidate with have a professional Engineering degree with a certificate of competency in Track safety. 5 years + experience in engineering management, covering design and installation of trackwork, with exposure to customer relationships, business development, financial performance, commercial management and knowledge and implementation of integrated business systems.
