Our client, is a fully integrated 24/7, 364 days a year manufacturing plant within a division of one of the UK's leading food companies. With a portfolio of leading brands serving the major grocery multiples in the short shelf life category, they are constantly striving to improve their products through innovation, retail delivery and overall consumer experience. To support the site's change agenda and efficiency improvement plans a new engineering management structure is being developed. This presents an opportunity for a new Site Engineering Manager.

Role scope:
Engineering responsibility for the entire site including - Operational Engineering, Reliability Centred Maintenance, Facilities/Utilities management, Capital Program Management
Engineering and manufacturing KPI's - Safety, Quality, Service, OEE, Reliability
Budgetary control circa £3m
Catalyse and drive positive cultural change leading to a proactive and reliability focused engineering approach at all levels
Performance Management, staff competence and behavioural development
Ownership of the OEE loss reduction programme for the engineering related categories

Strong mechanical/electrical engineering management background
Highly developed situational leadership skills

Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Manufacturing performance focused
Strategic outlook - driving the direction of the engineering teams
Track record of delivering Reliability Centred Maintenance/Asset Care/ TPM methodology and disciplines in traditional manufacturing environment
Track record of effective Program/Project management
Track record of effective tactical and strategic change management
Team player

Experience Qualifications:
Degree qualified in a related engineering discipline ideally attained Chartered status or working towards
Senior engineering management professional from within a Unionised automated process environment
Safety Environmental legislative knowledge
Ideally food manufacture but other FMCG related industries will be considered if the candidate is able to display the right attitude and relevant experience
