Florida Turbine Technologies, Inc. (FTT) is a growing world class turbomachinery company in Jupiter, Florida which employs 200+ engineers and technicians with over 4,000 combined years of aeroengine (military and commercial), industrial and space turbomachinery experience. We are looking for an engineering manager with direct experience in advanced rocket turbopump development to lead a small group of turbo machinery engineers in northern California and function in a liaison capacity. Work will be evenly split between technical and managerial responsibilities.

Technical Requirements:
• B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering with a minimum of 5 years of direct rocket engine experience in development, design, analysis and qualification testing.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in personnel management.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and leadership skills and experience integrating work in a team environment.
• Superior business development skills.
• Able to effectively represent the company’s interests while interfacing with program managers, customers and team members.
• Able to oversee and coordinate engineering work between remote work sites.
• Able to work under tight time constraints to meet schedules and manufacturing deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and highly motivated with good diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Superior communication and documentation skills including written and oral presentations, memos and reports.
• Must be a self-starter, patient and willing to invest the time to teach and mentor young engineers.

Desirable Characteristics:
• Experience coordinating support with manufacturing vendors.
• Experience leading Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Experience in major program management.
• Capability to mentor less experienced engineers.
• Proficient computer skills – CAD, FEA, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
