Engineering Program Manager Job in Van Buren Twp. 48111, Michigan Us
Located at our Van Buren Twp., Michigan office, the Program Manager will support current engineering programs by:
- Follow proposal (estimate) through to delivery.
- Duties would involve project managing (Cost, Timing, Quality) a large multi-department project in engine, controls and electronics or vehicle design/development.
- Duties would also include evaluating new PM tools and processes and continuous improvement of such.
- High visibility internally and externally - customer interfacing.
- Development of proposals in conjunction with Functional teams will also be required.
Position Requirements
- BS Engineering, MBA and/or PMI certification a plus
- Excellent computer/software skills - SAP RPM and cProjects (highly desirable), MS Project/Excel in particular
- Report writing capability i.e. proposals
- Ability to coordinate and organize activities into a plan and execute the plan, in a timely manner.
- Budget and deliverable quality responsibilities will exist.
- The candidate must be highly numerate as extensive work with financial data is involved.
- Candidate should also demonstrate basic engineering skills and knowledge in Powertain, Vehicle, Controls or calibration development fields.
- Experience required in contract review, cost tracking and forecasting.
- Training in specific program management software will be provided.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Ability to influence team and superiors who do not work for you.
