Engineering Project Manager - New Product Development

Reporting to the New Product Development Engineering Manager and based in Stafford, TX the Project Manager is responsible for managing and leading global cross-cultural - NPD project teams through all phases of the Rally Point product development process.  This included initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure of assigned projects across all functional areas within the Pressure Management group.   In this role the Project Manager will coordinate, schedule and facilitate all Team functions and will be responsible for the overall success of the project. 
 
Responsibilities:
·         Lead and manage the daily activities of assigned projects over the total life cycle of the project.
·         Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support the business goals.
·         Develop and maintain overall project schedules and plans.
·         Track Project Milestones and deliverables.
·         Identify and manager project dependencies and tasks on the critical path with the goal to reduce total project time and cost.
·         Maintain Action Item list for each project assigned and update weekly with the project team.
·         Develop and maintain a communication plan and liaise with project stakeholders continuously.
·         Estimate project resources, expense and capital needed to successfully complete the project.
·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to project team members.
·         Set and continuously manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project teams.
·         Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, change documents and presentations.
·         Proactively manage risk register and contingency plans.
·         Coach, mentor, motivate and lead project team members and contractors and influence them to be accountable for their assigned effort.
·         Conduct lesson learned project meetings throughout the life of the project.
·         Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

·         Bachelors Degree in Engineering required.  MS/MBA desirable. 
·         10  years direct work experience in mechanical products - project management required.
·         PMP certification highly desirable. 
·         Design for Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
·         Familiar with Rally Point / Toll Gate product development process.
·         Strong written and oral communication skills.  Strong interpersonal skills.
