ENGINEERING SUPERVISOR Job in Charleston 25311
Under the supervision of the OSP Engineering Supervisor, this position should perform detailed engineering tasks analyzing, evaluating, designing, planning, labor material job costing, for telecomm facilities.Proven successful experience in detailed OSP Engineering is a requirement.
Responsibilities may include: Provide daily technical guidance assist other engineering staff; Assist with coordination, schedules, Intra-departmental OSP tasks; Review OSP designs, associated paperwork, drawings for accuracy, content completeness; Review and/or prepare engineering records, reports, drawings, documents; Complete manage required permits documents for pole attachments, buried work, easements, R/W; Perform other duties as directed by the OSP Engineering Supervisor which may transcend department boundaries in order to meet company departmental goals.
Candidate will possess: Knowledge of the telecomm industry, activities of OSP engineering design, engineering mathematics, OSP engineering communication systems analysis, design equipment applications, related areas of OSP engineering; Knowledge of local, state, federal OSP engineering construction practices; Knowledge of CAD OSP design layouts systems; Ability to communicate technical information (verbal written) to technical non-technical personnel; Ability to conduct engineering studies surveys; Ability to read comprehend printed information; Ability to analyze a technical system or design into component parts; Ability to organize maintain engineering files.
