As an Engineering Systems Manager, this is your unique opportunity to set your mark and live on the leading edge.  The person in this position will work within a team environment to provide Engineering Systems support to Kohler Co.’s new product development teams nationally and globally.
 
 
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
·         Plan strategically and holistically for Engineering Systems and lead efforts in managing the global Product Lifecycle Management, CAD, and Product Data Management needs.
·         Responsible for ensuring the procurement, testing, approval and implementation of engineering hardware and software applications globally, including the use of Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD, UG, and  Windchill.
·         Collaborate closely with the product development organizations and CIT for globalization and management of the Product Lifecycle Management systems landscape and roadmap. 
·         Manage software contracts and maintenance payments; Ensure all reoccurring engineering software payments are budgeted appropriately (by region) and paid on-time; Ensure all vendor contracts and global license agreements are legally accepted and refreshed.
·         Responsible for the production release process for Engineering drawings from the Product Data Management system to SAP, through a controlled Engineering Change process. This includes the ability for the community to easily view drawings and product information.
·         Explore new CAD design techniques and methodologies and develop the in-house resources and expertise required to productively apply them. Continually research and help to increase the design community’s depth of talent with available CAD tools.
·         Work with CIT to maintain a disaster recovery plan for all software applications and servers used in engineering along with adherence to standards of the corporate data center.
 
 
 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - WHAT YOU NEED TO QUALIFY
·         Engineering or other technically oriented bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of experience in the engineering systems field is required.
·         Five or more years of well-rounded experience in the use and management of a multi-CAD and PDM environment including; Pro/Engineer, PDMLink, ProjectLink, AutoCAD, Ansys, Matlab, Alias, Solidworks, UG, and other engineering softwares.
                                                                                                                                                                                               
 
SKILL PREFERENCES – HOW YOU CAN STAND OUT
·         Working knowledge of UNIX and Windows software and server based architecture performance considered a plus.
