Under the direct guidance of a Senior Technician, repairs and or remanufactures electronic assemblies for industrial automation products.
This position is responsible for the testing and troubleshooting of all types of electronic and electromechanical equipment, devices, assemblies, sub-assemblies and printed circuit boards including surface mount type boards and substrates.
Requires ability to develop a test to trouble shoot and repair equipment with or without prints; (i.e. Engineering Technician). This includes the use of test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, frequency counters, and power supplies.
This also includes schematic and blueprint reading, mechanical assembly and disassembly, cleaning the returned device, hand soldering, following test instructions, use of test fixtures and diagnostic programs, and working with hand tools.
May use assembly and power tools such as drill press, grinder, rivet guns, crimp tools, and band saw.
May interact with team leader, engineering, customer service, purchasing, or quality manager to resolve an order issue.
Associates Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or related technical field is required (ie military experience related to electronics repair and testing) or 4 years work experience in electronics repair and testing.
Must have 3rd Party Industrial OEM Repair Support Background.
Requires at least 2 years related work experience.
