Engineer/Powertrain CAE Engineer Job in Auburn Hills, Michigan US
Job Description
The Powertrain CAE Engineer will be responsible to work closely with powertrain design release and development groups, suppliers and other functional groups, using CAE analyses in the areas listed below to proactively guide the designs to meet program performance objectives and timing. The Engineer will perform CAE analyses of engine block, cylinder head, multi-layer steel head gasket, and exhaust manifold. He/she will look at bore distortions, sealing pressures, stresses, fatigue safety factors. The Engineer will be responsible for dynamic simulation of valve train and crank train to look at displacements, velocities, accelerations, dynamic loads, stresses, and fatigue safety factors.
