PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Engineering and AutoCAD drafting for HVAC and Plumbing projects. The position will included 3D modeling and support for the engineers and project managers within the company.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
1. Interpret design sketches from Sr. engineers or project managers.
2. AutoCAD drafting of HVAC, Plumbing, isometrics, PID diagrams and Architectural sheet metal. Do related drawing coordination with architects and both In-house and out of house field trades.
3. Convert architectural or existing system drawing files into base drawings to be used on project by yourself or other engineers within the department.
4. After completion of project installation, provide "as- built" drawings, as required.
5. Convert 2D drawings HVAC and plumbing systems into working 3D model using Revit as needed for various projects.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:
Educational and experience requirements include: Minimum of 4 years similar construction engineering and drafting experience. AutoCAD drafting certificate, engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience. Must be proficient in use of AutoCAD Version 2010 MEP and Revit. Working knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems. Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate with others is essential.
Knowledge of load calculation software and Title 24 energy modeling is beneficial, but not required.
