Role Summary:

We are looking for a Communications Coordinator to join our client on a permanent basis. We would be keen to see candidates with an English related degree as you will need strong written skills. If successful you will be expected to provide a high level of customer service to the public and client. Candidates will need strong written skills as you will be expected to produce Public Information Packs. You will also be expected to liaise with local authorities and the media.

Our client's Highway Services delivers highway maintenance services across the country - everything from road patching to street lighting and winter maintenance - under long-term partnerships with local authorities.

Example of Responsibilities:

• To work individually and with Client Engineers and Pre-Construction Team to asses impact of works on stakeholders
• To draft and prepare Public Information Packs (PIPs) for required schemes.
• To organise, propose wording and location of Advanced Warning Signs
• To collate and analyse customer feedback, including staff, residents and elected representative satisfaction surveys.
• To visit and engage with Businesses and significant Stakeholders to understand and mitigate impact of our works.
• To initiate local press and radio release.
• To prepare, collate, present and update public facing Highways information, including activity calendars.
• To coordinate queries and complaints and ensure a response is provided within timescale and quality standards
• To act as designated information coordinator at times of exceptional customer demand (e.g. snow events)

To be considered for this role you must have:

• English degree or equivalent
• Possess an appropriate qualification and have enough technical knowledge to communicate effectively.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel
