May perform one or more of the following: Enterprise Application Development Director Location is Portland, OR preferred however may be open to a Remote employee. This seasoned technical leader will have the opportunity to supervise new application development through the entire life cycle while maintaining enterprise systems currently in operation. This person will manage a team of analysts and developers who are currently supporting the organization's legacy applications development and analysis. Evaluates existing applications to determine technical changes, schedules projects and resources, and monitors project timelines. Sets and implements policies and procedures related to application quality standards and testing. This position will establish long-term strategies for providing integrated applications across the enterprise. Responsibilities: Review and approve designs of computer systems and applications. Review and approve requests for additional systems development services. Manage major development projects from Feasibility Study through Implementation. Manage vendor relations and evaluate performance. Lead developers in the specification, design and development of applications. Lead, coach, develop and supervise the development team members. Provide a good balance of experience and skills in several front-end and/or back-end technologies. Ensure proper development of technical specifications and documentation. Estimate resource usage and timelines for development team. Advocate and reinforce a solid development methodology within the IT department. Review team members detailed design of components/modules/code. Analyze and develop the skill base and capability of the technical team. Develop and report expense and Capital Budget recommendations Ability to handle a variety of projects and tasks simultaneously. May perform one or more of the following: Directs the activities of software applications development. Manages the development, installation, and maintenance of computer programs for business applications. Directs and coordinates activities related to the design, development and implementation of software operating systems. Plans, conducts, and coordinates business programming applications activities. Establishes programming standards and program documentation requirements. Reviews current status of system applications and prepares recommendations for improvements. Manages the development and implementation of web applications. Manages the technical programming and database development related to the organizations website. All other duties as assigned. Desired Skills Experience Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Business and ten years of experience in a support role of a business area or in an IT environment including three years or more in a leadership role. Experience managing enterprise development activities, including web development, custom application development and business analysis. Proven leadership experience managing internal resources, customer relationships, and vendor relationships. Experience with MS technologies such as .Net, SQL Server, Visual Basic. Advanced understanding of web application programming architectures. Solid understanding of relational database concepts. All other duties as assigned.
