One of our client's is seeking a Sr. level Enterprise Architect for a long term engagement
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist and support the Head of Performance Management in aligning IT strategy and planning with our client's and business goals
Develop and maintain EA assets, principles, individual blueprints, architecture artifacts (business processes model for business architecture, system design models for application architecture, data models for information architecture and technology models, patterns for technology architecture), standards and guidelines (current and target) as a part of Enterprise Architecture (EA) Program initiative deliverables.
Produce cohesive roadmaps that explain the transition and migration steps required to reach desired target states (roadmap alignment).
Define and document the architectural domain strategy in support of EA and IT lifecycle and technology planning processes. Assist and contribute in establishing an Enterprise Architecture review board (EAB) and maintaining EA governance processes to ensure continued solution integrity during the project full life cycle. Assist with the development, configuration and maintenance of an EA repository tool.
Responsible for maintaining and monitoring adherence to EA standards and guidelines through appropriate EA governance over the architectural design stages of IT projects. Also provide technical guidance and support during all stages of IT projects to fit them to the architecture, as well as determining when it is necessary to modify the technical architecture to accommodate project needs.
Analyze and evaluate technology, trends and gather market place/industry intelligence from external sources as required as input to IT Strategy and as enablers for innovation.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 5‐8 years of IT enterprise architecture experience
- 3‐5+ years of experience creating, documenting and implementing common architecture vision, architectural artifacts and IT strategies.
- Experience in implementing EA governance and technical assurance review processes using best practices.
- 5+ years of strong experience in the concepts and methodologies of enterprise architecture (e.g. Zachman Framework, TOGAF, etc.). Implementation of EA at least in one engagement using EA framework would be desirable.
- Ability to create data models and diagrams using Visio, visual architect, and other industry standard tools.
- 4+ years of experience in business process modeling, business process design and process improvement solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with Master Data Management (MDM) Solutions.
- 3+ years of experience with ERP Systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle) and other software packages.
- 3 to 5+ years of strong experience with design of Java, J2EE, C++, SharePoint and Microsoft. NET
Technologies:
- Experience designing and deploying multi‐tier solutions across multiple physical locations.
- Exposure to Rapid application development (RAD), Agile Methods, as well as traditional waterfall approaches.
- Experience working within an ITIL framework and processes with successful outcomes within a large scale diverse global service management environment.
- Knowledge on EA repository tools (BPA, IBM‐System architect etc.) would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and visualizations; ability to communicate and facilitate at all levels of the organization.
Further Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Bachelor+ degree in a technology discipline, Bachelor or Master Degree in IT or Computer Science preferred.
- Beneficial certifications or conceptual understanding of TOGAF 8 or 9, Business Process Management (BPM), ITIL V2 or V3.
