Enterprise Architect Job in Calgary, Alberta Canada
Eagle is currently seeking an Enterprise Architect for a permanent job opportunity, scheduled to begin in April.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Creating the IT Technology strategy for the client;
- Working with the Director of Architecture and Integration and other IT groups to produce Enterprise Architecture road maps, strategies, and solutions to align with the client's new enterprise architecture strategy that provides reduced overall technology complexity and increased cost efficiency;
- Working with the lead integration architect to align new enterprise architecture to the new SOA architecture design principles and framework;
- Providing architecture consultation and oversight for IT Project teams to conform to enterprise architecture standards, using framework components, standards, patterns, and best practices;
- Leading in building a consolidated enterprise-level view of all business applications and their integration architecture;
- Acting as an advocate for ensuring that the infrastructure, data, and application architecture aligns with the overall enterprise architecture goals;
- Maintaining strong architectural expertise and knowledge of current and emerging technologies and products;
- Building relationships with IT and engineering Architects, technology teams, IT Management, and IT director teams; and,
- Participating in the planning for IT vision and strategy projects, and leading small to medium complexity IT strategy projects from start to completion.
Skills and Qualifications
The qualified candidate must have:
- Demonstrated experience in creating and promoting Business and Information Architectures in a large, complex environment;
- Demonstrated experience working with projects to ensure alignment to overall Enterprise Architecture;
- Demonstrated experience creating Information Architecture and Information Management best practices in a complex environment;
- Service Oriented Architecture best practices, frameworks, and principles;
- Design and implementation of high availability data persistence layer;
- Complex system integration on high availability data centre networks;
- Application design and development;
- Demonstrated architectural experience with complex business and information integration initiatives that includes multiple stakeholders;
- Demonstrated architectural experience with enterprise level business continuity and data persistence;
- Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Architectural Frameworks (Zachman and TOGAF);
- Past experience working with integration testing processes, practices, and teams;
- Project management or team leadership experience is a plus;
- Experience addressing concerns from a cross-project or company-wide level is a plus;
- Telecommunications industry knowledge is a plus; and,
- A credit and criminal check will be required.
