Enterprise Architect Job in Montgomery, Alabama US

Experis, formerly Manpower Professional, is seeking candidates for an Enterprise Architect (contract to hire) opening in Montgomery, AL. The Enterprise Architect will review and approve the Conceptual Architectural System Design. The following activities will be required to complete the Design Phase:
Fully participate in preliminary logical and physical data modeling sessions
Ensure consistency and traceability between system requirements and system architecture design
Ensure system requirements, the system architecture design, and their relationships are base-lined
Review and approve strategy to ensure a final integrated design
Co-facilitate presentation for committee approval to move to the detail design phase of the project

The EA will review and approve the Detailed System Design. The following activities will be required to complete the Detailed Design Phase:
Validate that the detailed design will support the States Vision, does not require duplicate entry, and supports each program
Fully participate in final logical and physical data modeling sessions
Review and approve the final detailed design specifications for forms, templates, alerts, reports and notices
Co-facilitate presentation for committee approval to move to the development phase of the project

The EA will provide guidance on the following areas through various phases of the project:
Review and approve the Security Design, User Access Security, Quality Assurance Document from an IT perspective
Review and approve Disaster Recovery Plan
Review and approve Data Conversion, Migration and Data Cleanup Plan
Review and approve the Software Development, System Integration and Implementation Plans

The Enterprise Architect shall provide long-term strategic responsibility for the Agencys IT systems. The EA shall ensure optimization of information management approaches through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities. One of the primary responsibilities would be the promotion of shared infrastructure and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows. Additional responsibilities include the following:
Ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from each other
Manage risk associated with information and IT assets through appropriate standards and security policies
Provide direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field and 2 years of experience in multiple focus areas of information technology and business analysis or 3 years of experience in multiple focus areas of information technology and business analysis.
Experience in the areas of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Conceptual Architectural System Design, Detail Systems Design, Security Design, User Access Security, Quality Assurance, Data Conversion, System Migration and Systems Integration.
