Job Description Job Classification: Contract General Characteristics Provides overall direction, guidance and definition of an enterprise's architecture to effectively support the corporate business strategy. Responsibilities include researching, analyzing, designing, proposing, and delivering solutions that are appropriate for the business and technology strategies. Must have significant business knowledge and have one or more areas of technical expertise in which they concentrate. Interfaces across several business areas, acting as visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future projects. Responsible for conception of solutions, building consensus and the selling and execution of such solutions. Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Experience Typically have 7 to 10 years of IT work experience in multiple IT areas and 2 to 3 years of relevant enterprise-wide architecture experience in one or more specialty areas. Complexity Expert/lead technical role. Defines enterprise-wide architectures and designs across multiple IT functional areas. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert. Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coaches and mentors more junior technical staff. Scope and Requirements The staff augmentation providers selected by NSRC must be available on a full time basis and be able to quickly react to re-prioritizations, requests for information, and status reports. The staff augmentation providers would be "on-call" and may be expected to perform contracted hours during night or weekend periods at the same rates as normal business hours and as provided on state contract and this RFQ. The selected candidates will perform services as needed and must possess the qualifications detailed in Section 2 and under the State Term Contract. Also, NSRC requires selected candidates to work cooperatively and in conjunction with software vendors, information system developers, support staff and program office customers in a team based environment. The candidate must have ten or more years of experience as a midrange systems programmer with experience in Microsoft Windows Server, UNIX/Linux, Virtual Server environments, SAN administration, networking, and Disaster Recovery. Must have experience with consolidating, relocating, or migrating a midrange infrastructure to new data center facilities. Must have experience in the detailed planning of midrange infrastructure including network, storage, security, systems management, and operational aspects of the data center project. Must have excellent written and interpersonal skills and be able to interact with Operations, Applications, and management teams with regards to data center consolidation, data center relocation, disaster recovery, business continuity, and tactical/strategic planning.
