Summary:
Our Client, a leading International Airline is seeking an Enterprise Architect (Information) to lead the Enterprise Architect Team through effective day to day team management and performance management
Responsibilities:
- Manage the evolution of Enterprise Architecture in the Information Domain including:
- Enterprise Content Search (inc Content Document Management)
- Business Intelligence (Reporting Analytics)
- Master Data Management
- Data Quality, Information Lifecycle Metadata Management
- Analyse enterprise business strategy and market trends to identify change requirements in the EA of the respective technology domain. When developing the EA roadmap, collaborate with the Chief Architect, other Enterprise Architects and the Business Domain Architects to ensure balanced viewpoints are incorporated in the future state architecture.
- Analyse and reconcile views and architectural needs across multiple business domains pertaining to the information technology architecture. Leverage standards, practices and synergies within information technology architecture across multiple business domains.
- Analyse gaps between the current and future state of enterprise architecture. Develop plans for the implementation of EA for the information domain. Work with the Chief Architect to drive the implementation.
- Understand, advocate and augment the business and IT strategies specifically on EA development and service delivery. Lead the communication, training or marketing activities needed to ensure EA success and use.
- Provide consultancy on application or infrastructure development projects to harmonise systems or infrastructure with the EA. Provide advice to Chief Architect for non-compliance approvals.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends in technology, ensure timely exploration and proactively communicate IM’s position towards the introduction of relevant / key emerging technologies. Modify the EA target architecture and roadmaps to accommodate near-term and long-term needs.
- Collaborate with the Chief Architect and IM Leadership Team to drive business and technology innovation to achieve corporate strategic plans and objectives.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience with at least 7 years in an architecture related position. In-depth skills in across the following disciplines: Business Intelligence, Master Data Management, Enterprise Content Management, Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Information Lifecycle Management, Data Modelling
- Proven abilities to manage large scale solutions design and implementation work
- Demonstrable leadership skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
- Highly motivated and strong character
- Good business acumen, with an ability to understand and address business issues.
