Enterprise Business Analyst – Corporate Systems recruitment
The Enterprise Business Analyst acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community working with IT project teams and business clients to elicit, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which applications and solutions are developed. The Business Analyst is an active thought partner and application visionary who shapes the technology demand among the business community.
This position will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategic enterprise roadmap for finance and corporate applications, aggregating Corporate demand for IT services, eliciting and documenting project requirements, and leading strategic Corporate initiatives for IT.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, identify and reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, use low-level information to enhance general understanding, and distinguish underlying true business needs from user ‘wish list’ requests.
- Translate Business Strategy into IT Demand
- Educate business partners on how to work with IT.
- Proactively suggest new solutions based on IT trends and opportunities.
- Apply IT capabilities to business needs.
- Prioritize projects.
- Review and communicate project pipeline.
- Map business strategy to IT capabilities
- Determine business value and justification of investment for proposed solutions
- Direct and oversee project teams and manage conflicts within group.
Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
- Strong background in finance and understanding of financial applications
- Knowledge of General Ledger, AP, and AR
- Knowledge of cash and treasury management
- Knowledge of Order-to-Cash and Purchase-to-Sales processes
- Familiar with financial controls and reporting
- Experience creating and interpreting financial analytics and reports
- Experience with international implementations, Statutory ledgers, Local regulations, Multiple currencies
- Experience scaling financial solutions for rapid growth businesses
- Experience with risk management and risk management systems, Credit management, Rate/pricing Curves, Risk analytics
- Position tracking and management
- Experience working with Oracle and Hyperion products preferred
- Strong analytical skills applied to understanding business functionality and translating them into application requirements
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
- Ability to create compelling business cases with cost and effort estimations
- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements
- Experience with varied analysis techniques: requirements workshops, data modeling, context diagrams, use cases, etc.
- Proficient in requirements definition and management
- Excellent written and communication skills including tact and diplomacy to maintain a cooperative relationship with development and business entities
- Successfully engage in multiple efforts simultaneously
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or Finance.
- 7+ Years of related experience
