Role Overview

Overall job purpose

To develop, manage and provide 3rd level support to the Bank's Messaging Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

Primary

· Technical management for projects related to Messaging Infrastructure of the Bank.

· Management, ongoing development, documentation and 3rd level support of Messaging Systems as follows :-

o Microsoft Exchange

o Symantec Enterprise Vault

o BlackBerry Enterprise Server

o ClearSwift MAILSweeper for SMTP

o OpenText Rightfax Edition

· Technical management for projects related to key infrastructure systems such as Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS and DHCP.

· High level administration of Active Directory, Exchange and Windows Server infrastructure.

Secondary

· When required provide 3rd Level Support for other EBRD infrastructure environments such as AD, DNS, DHCP, WINS, Proxy/ISA, WEBSense, VMware (vSphere/ESX) and server hardware issues.

General

· Submit necessary Change Control information and coordinate system down times for all work required.

· Undertake various IT projects directed by management.

· Report to Technical IT Manager on a weekly basis with work progress.

· Undertake tasks as directed by management and assist the Bank's TechnicalManager in his duties.

Essential Skills, Experience Qualifications

· In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, preferably confirmed by MCSE certification.

· In-depth knowledge of email archiving - Symantec Enterprise Vault.

· Experience with "BlackBerry Enterprise Server", "ClearSwift MAILSweeper for SMTP" and "OpenText Rightfax Edition" administration.

· In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and related services.

· Good knowledge of Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2000, 2003, 2008).

· Good knowledge of server hardware.

· Good knowledge of virtualisation technologies for servers.

· In depth knowledge of backup and restore techniques for servers OS

· Sound knowledge of scripting language and tools (PowerShell, VB)

· Good Knowledge of Networking.

· Knowledge of server monitoring technologies and tools
