The Enterprise Risk Operations Merchant Support Specialist is the point of contact for risk operational escalations for strategic enterprise level Merchants. The Enterprise Risk Ops Specialist is responsible for building an on-going relationship with a core group of enterprise and strategic level merchants. The main objectives for the position are to assist merchants and BUs to achieve minimal fraud loss within the LM portfolios. This is achieved through development of risk mitigation strategies and ad hoc problem solving whilst engaging with a range of stakeholders in and external to risk operations.
The Enterprise Risk Operations Merchant Support Specialist will be responsible for other duties assigned by Management, including escalations from Merchant Services and localized Business Units. An ability to work independently while making sound business decisions as well as strong analytical and communications skills are key requirements for this role.
The role will require tight coordination with a wide range of PayPal teams, including, but not limited to: Risk Detections, Consumer Protections, Seller Risk Management, Chargebacks, Enterprise and large merchant Account Managers and LMS Underwriting and Vetting and Global Risk Operations
Specific Duties
- Manage assigned merchant relationships as defined by Management
- Mitigate fraud losses for assigned accounts
- Proactively support PayPal merchants with regard to comprehensive management of Risk. Monitor account activity through PayPal systems and flags based on possible fraudulent activity.
- Liaise with Enterprise Account Managers who manage the accounts assigned to you and participate in communication with the Merchants where Risk expertise is required or will benefit management of accounts.
- Present, participate, and contribute to on- and offsite meetings for assigned merchants
- Establish relationships with other Specialists and product leads within the organization to ensure excellent information flow and feedback on process, policy and product changes that will affect enterprise level merchants
- Work on projects as assigned. These will often be related to process improvement and enhanced support of the broader Risk management function in PayPal.
