The role: Enterprise Sales Operations Analyst
Help the globe "go Google." Google's Enterprise teams work with schools, companies and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile and collaborative by using Google cloud computing to get their work done. On the Sales Operations team, you help fellow Sales Googlers by performing budgeting, planning, and analysis activities--and your passion for the magic of Google products like Apps and Chrome. Not only do you provide invaluable financial and budgeting input, but you also devise new ways for us to communicate with potential leads and bring them into the Google fold. Your razor-sharp insight means you excel at customer segmentation, acquisition and retention. You marry clean communication with strong analytical skills and a solid commitment to providing customers with a Googley customer experience. You also peer into the future for us; you examine and analyze statistical data to forecast marketing trends and to identify potential new markets for Google Enterprise. As a Sales Operations Analyst you will analyze, report, and present sales and operations related data that is associated with customer pipeline, bookings forecasting, and sales productivity. You will work with the Senior Analyst to provide insights to the business through analysis of bookings and sales activity to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of our sales teams. You will work collaboratively across the global organization (Sales, Support, Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Legal, etc) to develop and advance key initiatives, and optimize business processes. You will also define and maintain global sales guidelines and policies for Google Enterprise. You will also work closely with the following central sales ops functions: Global Strategy Planning and Projects; global Business Intelligence (BI); (Core operations team), Customer Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Problem solve how specific metrics need to be generated and, when required, work with the Enterprise systems team to implement solutions (e.g. data gathering, gap analysis, work on submitted feature request or business requirement documents, participate in problem solving workshops, file bugs etc).
- Pull and model data in order to create quantitative models including forecast, operational, financial, and statistical models of business trends and, where relevant, implement process improvements. Drive ongoing data cleansing/data improvement tasks.
- Perform advanced analysis activities, including defining, measuring and communicating core operational metrics that cover all Enterprise Sales.
- Take a lead role in developing and publishing reports, dashboards, presentations, and tools to aid sales, support, operations, and marketing teams in consistently tracking activities to sales results. Own critical processes that are central to the delivery of accurate metrics (e.g. maintenance of sales hierarchies).
- Lead global projects in structuring and executing analyses required to develop business recommendations, manage multiple projects simultaneously, with limited oversight, and communicate findings/recommendations to senior management and the broader organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize information and see the big picture while effectively managing details.
- Project management or other leadership experience while working collaboratively and proactively in a diverse team environment and with external partners.
- Strong spreadsheet modeling, financial analysis/data analysis skills. In-depth experience analyzing data and creating reports with strong Excel, database query experience (e.g. SQL), statistical, quantitative modeling, and forecasting skills.
- Evidence of experience working with large and multiple datasets/warehouses and ability to pull from such data sets using relevant programs and coding. Experience with data mining preferred. Strong slide deck creation and presentation skills essential.
- Proven experience in identifying opportunities for business improvement, and defining and measuring the success of those initiatives.
