Under the direction of the Assistant Director, the Enterprise System Manager for Clinical Ancillary Systems is responsible for clinical ancillary systems including cardiology, pulmonary, GI, hepatology, and other clinical systems. Cardiology systems include cardiology information system (CIS), hemodynamic monitoring equipment; the integration with the cath lab, echo, stress and ECG equipment; the integration among the hospital information systems; and the integration with the practice plan systems. GI and pulmonary systems include physician and nurse documentation and reports, images, interfaces and billing. This position supports the ancillary departments as well as those users outside the main clinical departments who require access to these systems for patient information (including physicians, nurses, technologists, and other support staff who provide care throughout the Health System); provides system management to all TUHS hospitals for those systems, such as cardiology, that are or will be used across the health system; is responsible for providing team leadership by leading and motivating employees to achieve team, department, hospital, and health system organizational goals; is responsible for developing and maintaining cooperation and trust between team members and work groups by working collaboratively with all parties; is responsible for developing reporting relationships with ancillary departments for TUH and the other TUHS hospitals; is responsible for standard system development life cycle processes: planning, design, implementation, enhancements, and maintenance. Crucial responsibilities include the assessment of the impact of moving to an enterprise system, project management and technical expertise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or health care preferred.
- At least 5 years experience in health care system management of a production environment required, plus at least 2 years of related experience in health care project management in a comparably sized hospital. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Supervisory and project management experience required. Experience in clinical applications, large implementations, workflow system analysis and systems management required.
- Knowledge of health system administrative and clinical applications including GE, Siemens, Eclipsys, and McKesson.
- Health care information technology management strongly preferred.
