Media Giant seeks Operations Coordinator for an immediate long term temp position.

Traffic broadcast material to the NOC for all  Networks to meet air schedule deadlines. Track air schedules to assure that all dubbing and captioning is done on a timely basis. Schedule captioning (both offline and LIVE) as necessary, and provide Purchase Orders to all vendors. Research all new series, and assure correct order of episodes. Liaise with other departments (Programming, On-Air Promos, Online, etc) and provide dubs when necessary. Work closely with producers to assure all necessary materials are available for edit sessions. Perform general office support work to keep department processes functioning in an orderly fashion. Use various computer systems including Scheduall, Alias, PTS, and ACQ as necessary. Document and communicate the progress of assigned projects. Cover for other coordinators when they are out to provide seamless coverage for their projects.
 

Principle Responsibilities

• Responsible for tracking the air schedule of assigned projects, to assure that programs are edited and captioned in time for shipment to NOC for broadcast. Report on the status of projects as needed. Use PTS Database to monitor accurate air schedules. Use ALIAS to determine location of existing material when necessary.
• At the request of the producer, provide materials for each edit session by providing the necessary source reels and elements. When appropriate, work with producer with special projects.
• Renumber assigned series into original air order and insert into ACQ database. Place dub orders for source tape clones and screeners with ER. Track tech/reject replacement source tapes.
• After edit session, insert format information and segment length information into ACQ database. Verify that session log is properly filled out, and that segment timings are correct. Submit tape material for digitizing and for dub requests for captioned air packages as necessary. Ship Air Masters to the NOC for broadcast, and addlot Edit Masters screeners to the library.
• Accept delivery of masters for closed captioning from production. Inquire about special needs and have caption proxies created for vendor. As completed caption files arrive, fill out encoding and dub request forms and create tape labels for submission to the ER when tape encoding is necessary. Digitize edited material to the server so caption files can be created by our vendor.

• As necessary, schedule live, feed or tape-to-tape closed captioning and enter the purchase order into the ScheduAll system. Also enter an air/re-air booking if necessary.
• Maintain organized and up to date records of all purchase orders, shipping invoices, dub requests and other requests as necessary.
• As a series is completed, addlot source clones and edit masters to library.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Video Post Production process.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, time management and office skills
• Possess excellent computer skills. Ability to work on a windows platform .
• College degree preferred.
