Position Description
As an Account Manager you will work with our Sales Team to manage existing accounts. Main responsibilities include devising and executing tailored solutions to increase efficiency, add value and maximize profitability through out the supply chain through customer service, shipment management, and problem resolution. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the sales team on price negotiations, carrier selection, timing of shipments, forecasting, business planning, customer growth strategy, drive business review, efficiency reporting and other customer meetings. This position also ensures that standard operational procedures, key performance indicators and other account metrics exist and are executed on a daily basis.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for excellent load board maintenance and team performance.
- Proactively monitor and address service level concerns.
- Develop solutions for service improvement and operational enhancements.
- Manage communication between the customer, sales and operations team.
- Prepare and perform face-to-face presentations for customers.
- Strong commitment to the portfolio of accounts and the branch overall.
- Independently generating new sales revenue.
- Collaborate with team on pricing decisions, the selection of supplier and timing of shipments
- Focuses on selling the core products, modes and services.
- Participates in face-to-face meetings.
- Transitions account or may handle operational execution: sourcing carriers, negotiating rates,
Problem solving, manage issues and other tasks required of the business.
- Works with manager in forecasting, business planning and strategy.
