Job Description:
Shared Services provide a Financial Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Taxation and Credit Control service to the ALSTOM GRID Units in theUK.
The Role
Reporting to the EHS Director, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating the management of Environment, Health and Safety within Automation for fixed site locations at Stafford and for work on customers sites mainly in theUK. Automation operate research and development facilities, manufacturing and undertake significant projects involving work on customer's sites in extremely hazardous work environments i.e. electrical sub-stations. Automation consists of approximately 340 permanent staff with additional temporary workers as well as contractors that undertake work on behalf of the unit mainly on customer's sites.
- Providing the units with the advice and practical support that they require to comply with statutory, Company and customer requirements and to achieve continual improvement in EHS standards
Innovation in the approach to EHS management to facilitate culture change.
The Person
Educated to Degree level or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent NVQ4), you will hold an environmental qualification such as the IEMA Certificate and will have significant experience in an EHS role in a similar environment with proven experience at senior management level. You will be an exceptional communicator, enabling you to influence staff at all levels of the organisation and you will be a strong character, capable of identifying deviations from standards and ensuring they are rectified to prevent a recurrence. You will be a team player who is goals orientated, but who shares best practice with colleagues. A full driving licence is required and you will also be fluent in English.
