Test Environment Manager

Responsibilities:

•    Leading and/ or managing a Team of  Environment Analysts and coordinating with multiple teams

•    Setting and monitoring the workloads, schedules, budgets and quality for  all of their teams.

•    Determining environments scope, provisions, build, configure, support and optimization process and procedures that ensure the most effective delivery of test environments to projects. 

•    To have extensive liaison and communication at all levels within the development life cycle.       

•    Establishing, and working with, multiple offshore engagements.

•    Setting the strategy and direction for the environment maangement function and coordinating and implementing any testing initiatives within their functional area. 

Requirements:       

•    Excellent team leadership, motivation and management skills, including performance appraisal.

•    Ability to coach, mentor, develop and motivate staff to achieve high levels.

•    Excellent estimating, planning, and monitoring skills.

•    Ability to prioritise and coordinate multiple, complex, competing demands/workstreams successfully, to deliver service to agreed levels in a diverse and constantly changing technical environment.

•     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including capacity to articulate IT stance and alternatives to Business users; ability to build and maintain good working relationships at a range of levels (internally and externally.

•      Ability to understand and contribute to setting testing strategy/vision.

•     Ability to work under pressure, for long periods either individually or as part of a team.

•     Ability to work effectively with minimal/high level supervision and direction.

•     Extensive knowledge of project life cycle.

•     Excellent problem solving skills and ability to manage to resolution.

•     Ability to understand and interpret complex Business and IT requirements.

•     Proactive and self motivated.

•     High Customer focus.

Qualifications:

•     Typically educated to an undergraduate or post graduate Degree level or equivalent.

•    ISEB Practioner in Test Management or equivalent.
