Job Description AECOM Environment is currently seeking a qualified individual for a Program Manager position in our Houston, TX office. The position will require the candidate to provide overall direction to a project or group of projects of considerable size, scope and complexity. The candidate must ensure established goals and objectives are met within the framework of established corporate or organizational policy. This Program Manager may manage any number of employees directly or as participants of a project / program team. This person will also to be responsible in providing leadership to our regional and national Impact Assessment and Permitting Practice as coordinated with National and Global Practice leaders and Account Managers as well as our Water and Natural Resources Practice Area. The successful candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of power industry experience in permitting and assessment along with project and client management experience. Significant federal and regional regulatory is required. This Program Manager will have industry credibility and be recognized internally and externally. Must be motivated and committed to quality execution projects, possess good organizational and business management skills, as well as excellent communication skills. In addition, the candidate should possess a strategic and entrepreneurial approach to growing the business and a strong commitment and ownership to the success of the practice. BS or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology or Environmental Science suggested. MS preferred. Specific responsibilities may include: - Assist with setting the course and strategy for the practice areas influence in the Houston market, including diversification of services and global expansion. - Assist with tracking market trends in the practice areas and communicate information to Account Managers and Practice Area Leaders. - Work with Account Managers to understand client segment strategy, direction and needs and/or opportunities. - Work with Practice Area Leaders on coordinating opportunities within the segment and trends. - Help develop practice area sales plans and goals. - Coordinate sales efforts with Account Managers and Practice Area Leadership. - Support large proposal efforts within the sectors. - Work with Marketing on practice area intelligence. - Make sales contact with clients. - Work with Operational Leadership (Business Lines) to incent/promote local sales effort - Work with Operational Leadership and Practice Area Leadership on hiring, identifying, and training of key personnel needed for segment success. - Participate in mentorship and training programs. - Determine conferences to attend, support technical paper development, and AECOM participation. - Participate on project teams as principal-in-charge, program or project manager, or senior reviewer as appropriate Assist account teams or project teams with account management.
