Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor Job in Nashville, Tennessee US
PSC METALS, INC. has an opportunity for a HSET Advisor which will be located out of our Nashville facility. This position will operate within broad parameters and require a motivated self starter with a team approach to problem solving. The Environmental Health and Safety Advisor must be capable of concurrently handling multiple projects at multiple locations. Responsibilities include implementing environment and safety programs for all assigned locations and for minimizing company losses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. BS in Environmental/Health and Safety, Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering preferred.
Five years of related experience required in Environmental Compliance/Management and seven to ten years in safety.
Knowledge, skills, abilities to execute local, territory, and federal Health and Safety, and Environmental laws and other government compliance regulations.
Must be able to balance business needs with health and safety, and environmental requirements in a cost-effective manner.
Knowledge and experience in collecting, managing and analyzing various data and trends in health and safety, and environmental behavior and compliance is needed.
Must make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, or government law.
Effective written and oral communication skills within a culturally diverse environment required.
Must be personally responsible and accountable for achieving performance goals as well as those of a team and have a proven track record of building credible relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required as is a valid driver's license and the ability to drive an automobile.
Willingness to travel to assigned locations within Tennessee.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
