Overview: In roles ranging from Environmental Remediation Engineers and Scientists, to Occupational Health and Safety Specialists, you could utilize your expertise to support site investigations, perform complex environmental assessments, determine methods for prevention, control and contingency measures, and assess the impact of emerging environmental issues. You could also implement and monitor occupational health and safety programs and processes and establish strategic priorities to develop innovative safety and occupational health approaches. Sample Responsibilities, Based on Role and Experience: Assists with the investigation of soil and water to identify potential contaminants and recommend remedial alternatives. Investigates safety and health incidents and complaints and applies ergonomic principles to reduce workplace injuries. Influences safety and occupational health strategies to manage cost, risk and image across the enterprise. Oversees multiple projects, developing enterprise direction for subcontractor, project and financial management. Develops guidance on emerging environmental and company operations, and issues and consults with senior program and business unit management. Directs the development and delivery of training and training materials to management and employees. Develops approaches to complex environmental risk analyses and determines innovative methods for prevention, control and contingency measures to minimize risk and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications: Bachelor's, Masterrsquo;s or Doctorate of Science in mathematics, science, information technology or engineering. Knowledge of occupational health and safety sciences Knowledge of strategies and methodology for conducting preliminary risk assessments for chemical, physical, biological, and environmental hazards using established protocols. Knowledge of relevant government laws and regulations impacting the functional responsibilities of the occupation. Knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements and policy. ABET is preferred. ISO 14001 and environmental compliance experience at a large manufacturing facility is desired. Currently hiring in many locations, some positions include relocation packages.
