Job Description Environmental Scientist (Job Number:303545) Description: SAIC Energy, Environment, Infrastructure, LLC, a subsidiary of SAIC, is looking for a dynamic person to work as an Environmental Scientist in their Perth Amboy, NJ office. Self motivated interaction and collaboration along with independent thought and excellent communication skills are highly desirable attributes. This position will support an existing team with current and future projects in Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health and other Environmental compliance areas. Job Location: Perth Amboy, NJ Job Duties - Working with supervisor and peers to collect and review environmental compliance data; - Groundwater sampling and oversight of environmental well installation; - This position will involve both office and field work Qualifications: Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology or related field; - Computer literacy including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint); - Candidate must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and should be able to demonstrate these as appropriate during an interview process; - The preferred candidate will have background and demonstrable experience (0-2 years total) with one or more of the following items, environmental sampling (soil or groundwater), reviewing scientific data and presenting environmental or geologic data via Microsoft Word or Excel, and data documentation; - Must have valid driver's license - 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training desired but not required; - Ability to work in a multiple contingency environment; - Self Starter.
