OTIE is seeking Environmental Scientists/Chemists/Engineers to support USEPA and DOD contracts that include site investigations with environmental sampling, oversight of removal activities, and occasional emergency responses. Candidates must have experience with project plan developments, completion reports, sample collection, oversight of contractors, technical report writing, and data analysis.  Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated environmental consulting experience pertaining to environmental investigations and remediation projects.

 

 

Requirements

BS in Science, Geology or Engineering, or other earth science field required.

 

 

 OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and ability to obtain medical clearances for field hazardous waste sites required.

 

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel. Positions will involve fieldwork, environmental field sampling, oversight of remediation activities, and possible large-scale emergency/disaster response.  

 

Knowledge of sampling protocols and multi-media field sampling experience preferred.

 

Strong technical writing and communication skills needed. 

 

Hazardous Waste Characterization (HazCat) abilities preferred.

 

Knowledgeable with relevant database and/or graphics software (MS Access or equivalent, ARC/GIS, KML, Scribe) preferred. 

 

Knowledge of RCRA/CERCLA and other federal environmental regulations preferred.
